Will ServiceU Green work with my existing HVAC System?
ServiceU Green works with any controller that runs the NiagaraAX platform. If you don't currently have NiagaraAX at your facility, your existing hardware may already be compatible and will only require adding a single Niagara controller. Many HVAC vendors have their own software but are able to communicate with software written to the Niagara AX platform.
What is NiagaraAX?
NiagaraAX is a platform created and supported by Tridium to automate facility management. It is well established as an HVAC industry standard and is carried by many vendors nationwide. Click here to learn more about NiagaraAX
Does my HVAC contractor have to be involved?
Yes. During the initial integration process, we will work with your current HVAC contractor to make sure that our solution is the right solution for your facility.
Will I have to enter my event schedule into multiple scheduling systems?
No. You will only be entering events into ServiceU Events, the same way you always have. When an event is approved in ServiceU Events, the event will automatically be added to your HVAC schedule.
How often will the schedule be refreshed to reflect changes to our events?
We set the refresh interval to five minutes by default, but this is a configurable setting. Your system could refresh once a minute, once an hour, or anything in between if you like. Being a dynamic calendar, new events are immediately recognized at each update.
Is the system user-friendly and easy to learn?
Yes. If you already use ServiceU Events, then you already know how to set up events for ServiceU Green. During implementation, our Client Services team will work with your facilities team to identify and “map” the HVAC zones of your church.
What kind of savings can I expect to see?
While some churches have seen their energy usage go down by as much as 20%, it is more typical to see the kilowatt hours reduced by 8–15%. The less energy your facility uses, the lower your utility bill is going to be!
Can this system be configured remotely?
Yes. Your event data lives in our cloud, so your coordinators will be able to update it from anywhere there is Internet access. Remember, ServiceU Green only populates your HVAC control scheduler. If you need to change a temperature setting or check on a fan speed, you would have to log in to your HVAC controls
Does this system only work with HVAC systems?
No. It works with NiagaraAX Schedules, which typically control HVAC systems but can also automate lighting and other facility automation systems.

How long does it take to set it up?
This will vary depending on the size of your facility and whether or not you already have NiagaraAX, but once we have collected information on how your facility is organized, integration can typically be completed within a few days.
