Yes! The ServiceU support team is available to you as part of TransactU. You can contact our support team anytime for help with no additional fees. - How do I contact Customer Support?
You can call or email the ServiceU support team for assistance. They will be glad to answer questions, help troubleshoot a problem, or even help you find the best way to achieve your goal. Our support team is available Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm CST. You can call 901-869-5001 or email support@serviceu.com. - What is a merchant account and why do I need one?
A merchant account is set up to process payments via credit cards and electronic checks. All organizations that accept credit card transactions have a merchant account, and one is required for TransactU. - What are the benefits of having a merchant account?
- Funds deposit directly to your church bank account. A third party company does not hold your funds.
- Funds are deposited automatically to your church bank account. A third party does not hold your money and make you request them each time you want them deposited.
- Lower processing rates because a third party company is not marking up the fees so that they can make money.
- Transactions process with the name of your church on the bank statements of your members when they make a payment to your church.
- Am I required to setup a merchant account?
Yes, you are required to setup a merchant account to accept online payments. Because you are a valued Digital Church referral, we are offering you a special discounted price on your merchant account, and we will assist you in setting it up. - How much does a merchant account cost?
Because you are a valued Digital Church referral, we're offering you the following discounted merchant account pricing:- $49.95 setup fee
- $10 per month for credit cards/$10 per month for ACH
- $0.50 per transaction for ACH
- $0.35 per transaction for Credit Card
- 2.29% discount rate
- How long does it take to receive funds?
We assist you with the set up of your own merchant account so that funds deposit directly into your bank account within 3-7 business day. - Is there any software to load?
No, our software is web-based, which means there is no software to load or maintain. You will receive a user name and password which gives you access to your event information, which is stored and backed-up on our secure servers. You have the flexibility of accessing your event information anywhere with an internet connection. - Will patrons know they are on our organization's website?
Yes. TransactU reflects your brand – the event registration and online donation pages look and feel just like your website. When the transaction is complete, the user receives a receipt on the screen and via e-mail. Transactions appear on financial statements using your name (not ours), giving your patrons more confidence in making transactions online. - Are my transactions secure?
Yes! ServiceU is certified as compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS) as a Level 1 Service Provider. We are one of the few companies who meet these rigorous standards. - What is PCI Compliance?
Visa, MasterCard, and the other major credit cards have jointly developed these strict security regulations to make sure that your credit card information is safe when you use your credit card in a store and on-line. - Does my organization have to be PCI Compliant?
No. In order to become PCI Compliant, organizations must undergo extensive reviews to make sure their technology and security meet the rigorous requirements. This is a time consuming and expensive process. Instead of going through the rigors of PCI compliance, you can use a vendor, like ServiceU, who offers a PCI-compliant solution. - How long does it take to get up and running?
We typically estimate that it takes a week.
